Triagon Research

Triagon’s research profile brings together doctoral work, applied publications, and ongoing academic engagement across a set of clearly defined thematic areas. This section is designed for prospective students, current students, graduates, and members of the Triagon Family who want to explore research topics, outputs, and opportunities for involvement.

Research Cluster

Digital Transformation, AI and Data-Driven Innovation

This cluster brings together research on the diffusion, adoption and managerial implications of digital and intelligent technologies across industries. It addresses the strategic, operational and societal questions that arise when organisations integrate artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, automation, smart sensors and digital platforms into their value-creation processes. The body of work in this cluster spans applied AI in finance, sales and accounting; cyber-resilience and data governance; digital maturity assessments; smart-city and smart-mobility ecosystems; and the regulatory frameworks (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001) that shape responsible digital innovation.

Leadership, Organisational Behaviour and the Future of Work

This is the largest cluster in our doctoral portfolio and reflects the sustained interest of Triagon researchers in the human dimension of organisations. The cluster addresses leadership styles in traditional, virtual and hybrid settings; employee engagement, commitment and resilience; the future of work in flexibilised and digitalised environments; agility and conflict in cross-functional teams; diversity, inclusion and the persistent challenge of the glass ceiling; as well as employer branding and the changing nature of the psychological contract between organisations and individuals.

Finance, Strategy and Corporate Governance

This cluster gathers research on capital markets, investment behaviour, banking, corporate governance, supply-chain strategy and industrial marketing. The work in this cluster combines rigorous quantitative methods with an applied, decision-oriented perspective on how firms create, measure and protect economic value. Topics range from valuation methodologies for SMEs and professional practices to ownership-structure effects on firm performance, alternative-lending dynamics, central-bank digital currencies, and strategic thinking in purchasing and supply management.

Sustainability, Healthcare and Societal Wellbeing

This cluster brings together research with a strong public-interest, health, sustainability or social-impact orientation. It includes work on health-system transformation and patient-centric digitalisation, medical economics, sports-science and inclusion, education and entrepreneurship, public-sector communication and renewable-energy markets, as well as crisis communication. The cluster speaks directly to the European Green Deal, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the WHO’s healthcare-resilience agenda.

Academic Doctoral Programmes

Triagon Doctoral Programmes are MQF/EQF level 8 qualifications awarded upon successful completion of structured programmes of advanced study and supervised research. The programmes are governed by the Study and Examination Regulations for Doctoral Studies and are designed to develop advanced research competence in business, management, psychology, IT and technology, social sciences and other fields. The dissertation forms the central component of the programmes and must constitute an independent scholarly contribution that meets scientific standards and advances knowledge in science or professional practice. Assessment follows a formal doctoral procedure comprising two independent expert reviews, a viva voce before a doctoral assessment panel of three professors, documented minutes of the oral examination, and a final overall grade based on documented and consistent assessment criteria. Following successful completion, the dissertation is published by Triagon, with access available upon reasonable request.
